Millennium Volunteers

Millennium Volunteers (MV) is a national award scheme for 16 - 24 year olds.
It aims to recognise the value of volunteering work undertaken by young people through giving awards as recognition for the time they put into volunteering. It's a great way to build up your experience, get into University or even help you get a job.

You only need to complete 100 hours of volunteering to achieve an MV Award or 200 to achieve an "Award of Excellence", and you get a lot back for your time, including:
  • Nationally recognised certificates
  • Funding for travel, training and equipment
  • Support, information and advice
  • Training
  • A structured route into volunteering
Anyone between the ages of 16 and 24 who regularly volunteers at Skelton Grange can take part in the MV scheme here whether you're volunteering one day a week or as a full time volunteer officer.
