We offer different volunteering experiences depending upon how much time you are able to give:

Volunteer Officer (VO)

What does it mean?
  • Volunteering for 3 or more days a week
  • A designated manager
  • Full Volunteer Officer job description
  • Monthly updates with manager
  • Booking on all core BTCV training courses
  • Knowledge profile at 2/3 months
  • Joint Performance Review at 6 months

Volunteers

What does it mean?
  • Volunteering for 1 or 2 days a week
  • Helping out with the day to day running of the centre
  • No formal updates – just checking every now and then that things are OK
  • Booking on one or two core courses as appropriate to the work you are doing

Practical Work Volunteering

Please note that all Volunteer Officer and volunteer posts at Skelton Grange involve working with children and therefore a positive attitude towards children is essential.
