Slug Days
The Friends of Skelton Grange run Community Volunteering Days (also known as Slug Days) at Skelton Grange Environment Centre. These days are a great way to get involved at Skelton Grange, and a good chance to do some volunteering and help to make a difference if you can only spare the occasional day.Slug days help us with important maintenance and development work on the wildlife area at Skelton Grange Environment Centre as well as being great fun! Trained leaders will be running the day, and everyone is welcome, whatever their level of experience.
Community Volunteering days in 2008
Our next Community Volunteering day (Slug Day) is on the 19th of October 2008 from 11am til 4pm, when a range of conservation tasks will be happening to help improve and maintain the education area at the centre. Anyone is welcome to come along on the day.
Recent volunteering events have included several days of tree planting and a successful woodland crafts day, thanks to the generous support of Breathing Places.
Other community volunteering events will take place through the year - watch this space for further info. Skelton Grange's annual Open Day will take place on Saturday 13th September.
