Friends of Skelton Grange

Volunteers improving the siteOur work at Skelton Grange Environment Centre is also keenly supported by the Friends of Skelton Grange, also known as the Slug Group.

The Friends of Skelton Grange is an independent group which supports the work of BTCV at Skelton Grange Environment Centre. The group has recently changed its name from the Skelton Volunteer Group to reflect its changing role in supporting the centre.

In the last year the Friends of Skelton Grange held an open day at Skelton Grange Environment Centre to assist with fundraising for the centre.

The group has also recently successfully secured funding from Breathing Places to create some new woodland spaces at the centre. The group are running a series of community volunteering days over the winter of 2007-8 to carry out this tree planting work.

Members of the group receive regular updates about what is going on at the centre

Support the Group

If you would like to lend your support to the Friends of Skelton Grange you can either make a donation or help out with a Community Volunteering day (Slug Day). If you would like to find out more about how to join the group please get in touch.

We also need volunteers to help out with the Executive Committee of the Group, in order to assist with planning events and managing the finances of the group.

Currently the Executive Committee is as follows:
President: Paul Fieldhouse
Treasurer: Catherine Nuttgens
Secretary: Peter Ward
