Everything comes from somewhere, everything has to go somewhere

Teachers' Comments

At the end of each session we ask teachers to fill in a short assessment form. Here are some of the comments they have made:

Did the activities meet your initial expectations?
"Activities exceeded expectations. Assemblies grabbed pupils' attention and imagination, whilst being highly informative. Workshops were similarly engaging and well paced."

"More than met my expectations - really worthwhile."

"Exceeded expectations, involved all the class in a fun way whilst delivering a really important message and vital information."

"It went beyond what I had hoped for. The activity was well matched to the age of the children and they were engaged throughout."

What do you consider to be the long term benefits of this project being delivered in your school?
"I think all of the children will have a good knowledge of recycling and that children will have a far greater enthusiasm for environmental topics in the future."

"Promote recycling and enhance curriculum in the future."

"Pupils have a much greater awareness and are very positive about the small part they can play as individuals/groups having huge long term and global effects."

"The children's understanding of recycling. Many parents have commented on how aware the children are about recycling in the home."

"Having emphasised the children's own responsibility for recycling, they are already talking about improving recycling facilities in school. I'm sure "pester power" will ensure feedback to lots of families."
