Playschemes
Playschemes run during the summer holidays. They include a variety of different activities, such as pond dipping, minibeast hunting, den building and environmental art and games. They are aimed at children between 5 and 11 years old.Activities run from 10am - 3pm and can cater for a maximum of 25 children.
If your playscheme has more than 25 children you may attend more than one session but each child can only attend one of the two.
Children are requested to wear old clothes and suitable footwear for outdoor activities. A packed lunch and a drink will also be needed. Indoor activities will be provided in the event of bad weather.
Booking is essential. There is a deposit of £50 (payable to BTCV) per booking, refundable on attendance. The Centre does not charge but we are a charitable project & would very much appreciate any donations!
The session will be set up and run by the Skelton Project team, but groups are expected to provide supervision and support, unless agreed in advance with the Project Officer. Skelton Project staff and volunteers should be discounted when working out supervision ratios.
Booking for the summer playschemes usually opens on 1st June, or the first working day after this date.
